Understanding the basic teaching of the Christian Faith is
paramount to living for Christ, leading our families and training our
children to follow Him. In our monthly mens’ meeting we enjoy
fellowship around a hearty breakfast meal as well as a generous
helping God’s Word. We examine basic important Christian truths like;
The Gospel, Sin, Sanctification, God’s Word, and even a History of the
development of the Doctrines of the Faith as they came about in order
to refute the false teachings that arose.
Why do we go through all of this? Because the average Christian
Man needs to know what he believes and how it applies to his life. It is
only when we live out of the truths of God’s Word that we can live
successfully and with conviction in a world that is so contrary to God’s
Truth. Strong husbands and fathers make for strong families, strong
wives and children who will in turn become strong parents themselves
as they mature. This is the foundation and it is sorely lacking in much
of the Church today.
At Garden City Church it is our desire to fulfill our duty to God and
his Word by training faithful men so that they may train others also (2
Timothy 2:2), and to equip men to love their wives as Christ loved the
Church and to train up their children in the Lord (Ephesians 5:25, 6:4).
We hope that you will join us for this time of fellowship and learning
and that God will use it in your life and the lives of your family
members. It is designed to help you grow and mature so that you will
stand firm in the Truths of God’s Word.
